HOW DO I BOOK MY FIRST SESSION?

DO I HAVE TO BE FIT TO ATTEND?
We hear people say “ I will get fit then join”! This is like saying I will trim my hair before going to the hairdressers. You go to see your stylist as they are professionals in their field. The same for us, we will look after you on the whole journey, start to finish. Take a look at our success stories to support what we say.
DO I HAVE TO BOOK MY FREE TRIAL?
Yes, you have to book on via our Team Up app for all sessions. We use this to control class numbers and as our method to conform to track and trace for Covid-19 compliance.
ARE CLASSES FOR ALL LEVELS OF FITNESS?
Yes we train the very unfit out of conditioned to the super ubber fit. Our trainers are trained to ensure they tailor their classes for ALL levels of fitness.
HOW DO I PAY?
We ask that you sort your membership prior to attending your first session. If for whatever reason you find that you no longer wish to attend after this session, we will happily cancel the membership and no payments will be taken, or refunded if any have.
HOW LONG DO SESSIONS LAST?
Classes last for approximately 45 minutes.
DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT WHEN I JOIN?
There are no contracts for minimum periods of training. You pay, in advanced, on a month to month basis. If you wish to cancel you need to give one full months notice.
ARE YOU INSTRUCTORS QUALIFIED?
All our instructors are highly qualified fitness professionals with many years experience. Most have a military or team sport background.
WILL I BE RIDICULED?
No not at all. We encourage people and know how to get the best out of you. Everything we do is done in a firm friendly and challenging way, but you will NEVER be ridiculed.
IS IT HARD?
There is no easy way to fancy this up, Yes! We will build you up gradually, tempered for your ability, over the first few weeks but we do make it hard so you get the results you desire.
CAN I PAY CASH FOR MY SESSIONS?
We are very flexible with payments but do not accept one off payments. You can pay monthly or buy 10 sessions in advance to use as you attend.
CAN I ATTEND ANY CLASS?
Yes, you can attend any class at any location at any time of the day giving you total flexibility. You just need to book a place on our booking app Team Up
DO YOU TRAIN IF IT IS RAINING OR SNOWING?
Yes, you will not believe me now but the wettest sessions can be the best session. The weather adds an extra element to the training and gives you a great feel good factor after. We do adjust the style of training we use in different weather conditions. The is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing choices!
DO YOU HAVE FACILITIES FOR STORING LARGER OBJECTS WHEN TRAINING?
No, we are not able to look after any items due to covid restrictions. All valuables should be left secure prior to the class start. Instructors will not place items in their vehicles.
DO I NEED TO BUY ANY SPECIALIST EQUIPTMENT?
The only thing we ask you to have is a decent pair of trainers. We have great associations with local suppliers Start Fitness, who offer expert advice on exercise footwear/clothing and in most cases offer a discount if you mention ODFC Fitness..
DO YOU RUN ANY WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAMMES?
Yes, we periodically run set courses for weight loss. Please ask at class for more information if you wish to book a place. We are able to offer general advice, nutrition guidance to all our members.
ARE THE GUYS THAT TRAIN WITH YOU FRIENDLY?
Yes, it is not uncommon, maybe a little too common, to see the guys out on a Saturday night having a sherry together, or holidaying or at the wedding of someone that trains with us. We actively encourage friendly approach as this promotes team work and enjoyment. We’ve even had the odd ODFC relationship blossom from bootcamp.
DO YOU DO ANYTHING ELSE PHYSICAL AWAY FROM CLASSES?
We have an awesome group of guys that participate in adventure races, run races, day walks, bike rides, rock climbing and hill walkers and many more events. We also organise walking weekends, sailing trips and ski holidays.
SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOU AND A GYM?
Results, friendly, enjoyable, sociable and variety are all words that our guys would say make us different from any gym.
DO YOU GUARANTEE RESULTS?
Yes, if you want to be slimmer, run a faster race time or lower your blood pressure we will happily set goals and help you achieve them. Do you guarantee to do as you’re told away from class?
WHAT AGE RANGE DO YOU TRAIN?
Currently from the age of 14 (accompanied by an adult) up to 74 years old. If you are older then please come along to up the upper limits.
ARE SESSIONS CHILD FRIENDLY?
Pre Covid we did, but because of the situation, we are unable to run child friendly sessions at the moment.
ARE THE CLASSES THE SAME AS A ‘GYM CLASS’?
With most gym classes you know what you’re doing prior to starting. With ours you don’t know what we will be doing until you start. Each session is different and varied.
IS THE TIMETABLE UP TO DATE?
The timetable is kept up to date on a weekly basis. If you are new or unsure of class times and locations please contact us as we are happy to help.
