Where would I be without ODFC? I really don’t know, but what I do know is I would not be where I am today with my physical fitness and general mental wellbeing. Ive been with ODFC for 8 years, originally my goal was weight-loss, whilst I continue to struggle with this, now my focus is much more about being fit and healthy. My body has changed in so many different ways and all for the better, I have learned to love my body and my confidence is growing. Over the past 3 years I’ve had 3 ankle surgeries and each time ODFC had a massive part in my recovery, not only in ensuring I was at my fittest and strongest pre surgery but providing me with the reassurance, confidence and determination to come back stronger post op.
Last year I completed a personal goal of completing the Great North Run which I achieved with the help and support from everyone from ODFC. I am currently training for my 2nd half marathon this year, unfortunately due to covid-19 it looks unlikely that this will go ahead. Previously this would have given me an excuse to slack off but once again ODFC have stepped up to the plate. Their ability to adapt to the current situation has allowed me to continue to maintain my fitness routine and even push me further to the point I’m regularly running 30+ miles per week, and even enjoying it.
ODCF is not just a fitness company they are a lifeline and a family, I am in a much better place of mind and I have made some AMAZING friends along the way.
