Don’t leave (re)starting your fitness regime until the last minute of lockdown. Start now to try and claw your way back to some level of fitness prior to easing of lockdown. This way means not only will you regain some health benefits, but hopefully you can utilise some of the additional hours in the day to get going.

Some simple but effective ideas you can use, remembering you may well have done very little for near on 12 months, so start easy.

  • Brisk Walk or take a jog with a friend
  • Join an online sessions suitable for your ability
  • Up your daily step count
  • On nice days plan a bike ride
  • Dust off the DVDs or check out YouTube

Either way, don’t just leave it to when life gets busy again. That is one sure way of letting it slip and once again becoming a chore in a busy hectic lifestyle.
